(loneliness)
the leaf fell
(despair)
and left to wither
in sun and rain.
(moving on)
comes a flood
washing it off
to darkness of sewers,
(a journey)
then to unnamed
rivers, to unknown banks.
(death)
upon clay soil,
it’s breaking, melting,
disappearance:
untold and unheard of;
(peace)
on which a tree stands
shedding off more
loneliness.
