Pagpanamin niya, atol pod to og kalag-kalag hinuon. Paglingi niya sa likod, nawala man og kalit.

So unsay gibuhat niya? Dali-dali siyag suot sa iyang uniporme. Dagan siya, dagan. Tingala mi pag-abot dinhi. “Ngano naghangos-hangos man ka?”

“Buanga, bay.

White lady ba to or unsa to siya. Taas daw kaayo og buhok. Gitan-aw siya sa samin.

English Translation: The Woman in the Mirror
Narrated by Elmer Oncada

This story is from my co-worker before, before he left. He was in the CR. He used the mirror in the male CR on the ground floor of the Del Rosario Building. He was combing his hair. It was about 9:30; it was All Saints’ Day. When he looked at the mirror, he was surprised to see a woman who had white hair and was dressed in white. He was scared. His hair stood on end. When he turned around, the woman was suddenly gone.

So what did he do? He hurriedly put on his uniform and ran and ran. We were surprised when he arrived. “Why are you out of breath?”

“It’s crazy. I went to the CR in Del Rosario and a woman appeared to me, all white.”

Was it a white lady or something else? Her hair was very long and she looked at him in the mirror.

English translation: The Student with No Shoes
Narrated by Diana Rivas

It was Sir Fernandez who told this story to us. This happened on the 5th floor, in Room 5–. It was around 8 o’clock. He was there, giving a lecture. Then, he saw a girl in uniform pass by. He didn’t mind her at all. But he was wondering because it was class time. He wanted to scold her. When he went out, he was wondering why the girl didn’t have any shoes on. She was floating. That’s why he went back to the room and told the class, “Class, it’s already late; let’s go home.”

Abtonon siguro ko kay ngano man ako ra man mismo makakita.

Ingon sila si Marcia to. Estudyante to siya. Kadto daw na CR, adto gyod to siya mag CR-an. Unya alas 9 daw iyang tigsulod. Naa siyay klase anang tungora. Atong time na nahitabo, wala pa siyay tuig (namatay). Nagparemind lang daw to.

This happened at the Bonifacio (campus), on the 4th floor CR. Maybe I have a sixth sense because I am the only one who can see these things. My schedule was changed, from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. I’d come at two, and leave for home at 10 p.m. when I was assigned there in the Annex, Bonifacio. Now, the rain fell hard but it was okay because even if it was 9 p.m., there were still a lot of students around. Now, I was assigned to follow-up the CR at night. I washed and mopped the floor of every CR. Right after I finished mopping, there was a student who came in. She passed right in front of me. She walked very fast. She turned on the lights because I had already turned the lights off after I finished cleaning.

So she was inside. Meanwhile, as I was mopping outside, Sidro, the guard came. “Nang Villa, it’s already 10. Why are you still here?”

“Be quiet, Sidro, there’s still a student inside. After she’s finished, I’ll go home.”

He went inside the CR and looked around; there was no one there. “You’re mistaken, Nang Villa, there’s no one here.”

“There should be. Her skirt is pink. She walked very fast in front of me. She even turned on the lights.” But when I looked inside, there was no one there.

I told the other janitors about what happened. They told me that it was Marcia. She was raped and killed there in front of UIC. She was a student here. That particular CR was the one she usually used. She usually came in at 9 p.m. She had a class around that time. When that incident happened, she wasn’t dead for a year. She was just reminding people.

She took a short cut, probably because she was afraid she would be late. It was raining. He was waiting for her, this guy who was courting her. That’s why they pounced on her. The guy died, too. The guy’s mom asked for forgiveness from Marcia’s mom. The other guys were incarcerated but that particular guy got sick and died after two years.
